Thomson Reuters Acquires CaseLogistix Document Review Software
Expanded Westlaw Litigator platform will offer truly integrated productivity tools across the litigation workflow
EAGAN, Minn., July 13, 2010 Thomson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced that it has acquired document review software CaseLogistix from Anacomp, Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CaseLogistix provides document review, data ingestion and production tools to help litigation teams manage the electronic discovery review process. The acquisition is a critical next step in furthering the Thomson Reuters litigation strategy. CaseLogistix expands the Westlaw Litigator set of integrated tools, services and content, allowing attorneys to be more productive at each stage of a matter and more efficient in creating superior work product. CaseLogistix and its employees will be aligned with the Litigation business within Thomson Reuters, Legal, under the direction of Allison Guidette, vice president and general manager of Litigation.
Document review is a significant part of the litigation workflow. CaseLogistix adds powerful new functionality to the Westlaw Litigator suite of productivity and efficiency tools, and will be integrated tightly with Case Notebook, a leading case analysis and transcript management tool, making it easier than ever before for attorneys to move between document review, case analysis, legal research and work product creation.
