This edition reflects the authors' commitment to providing a highly teachable, comprehensive, and up-to-date casebook for first-year civil procedure courses. As in earlier editions, the authors have sought to make use of recently decided cases wherever possible, while retaining many of the "old chestnuts" familiar to all civil procedure teachers. In addition, the authors have integrated all significant developments since the publication of the first edition of this casebook in January 2001. The book comes with a thorough and revised teacher's manual that is fully responsive to the hypotheticals and questions posed in the note material following the primary cases.
