Description

This title is a collection of almost 164,000 annotations to state and federal cases reported in the U.S. since 1978 that have interpreted 100 standard property and liability insurance policies and more than 900 endorsements. Miller's annotations are arranged by policy and section number, jurisdiction, and date to enable a subscriber to quickly locate caselaw analyzing a coverage provision. Similar coverage provisions in other policies are found in "Miller's Index," which lists more than 3,000 coverage provisions, topics, words, and phrases with references to more than 15,000 policy provisions.

Features

  • Covers Commercial Excess provisions and, starting July 2011, Management Protection Liability provisions
  • Identifies reported decisions that interpret nonstandard policy language
  • Includes a comment for each annotation that places the coverage provision at issue within the case's factual context
  • Includes the most commonly sold and litigated policies today, both ISO and non-ISO, personal and commercial
  • Indicates for each annotation whether the insured, the insurer, or a third party prevailed on the coverage provision
  • Organizes property and liability insurance cases according to the policies themselves
  • Provides an annotation for every policy provision interpreted by a reported appellate judicial decision
