The Cowles Estates Practice System now includes another tool for enhancing client service and education. In addition to the Revocable Trust Estate Organizer Binder options, we have expanded the Estate Organizer series to include a Will Estate Organizer Binder. This binder provides a resource for clients who utilize a Last Will and Testament as their primary estate planning vehicle instead of implementing a Revocable Trust-based plan.
What's Included in the Will Binder?
The Will Estate Organizer Binder includes:
- A professional and sturdy binder The binder itself is the same binder used for the Revocable Trust Estate Organizer, making it easy to provide a consistent output to your clients and maintain a single inventory of binders for that purpose. Remember, the binder provides a slot on the front cover to customize the binder for each client. It also includes a CD ROM sleeve for inserting a client CD with appropriate content.
- A tab set for organizing binder information The tabs created for the Will Estate Organizer follow the format of the Revocable Trust Organizer, but they contain different topics as needed for the differing content. Utilizing the tab set will help your clients find and organize the information critical to their estate plan.
- Content to help clients understand and implement their plan The content created for the Will Estate Organizer also follows the same core approach as the Revocable Trust Organizer. The Will content defines key terms and explains the basic topics typically included in Will documents as well as other related estate planning documents. It serves as a resource for clients to utilize when working through the steps involved in implementing and maintaining their plan. In addition, the Organizer provides a thorough questionnaire for clients to answer and update, including important information regarding their assets, wishes, and other information their family will need.
Clients Will Appreciate This Resource!
Providing an Estate Organizer binder to your clients serves several purposes:
- First and foremost, it provides your clients with a resource for understanding and organizing their estate planning documents.
- It encourages clients to organize their information into a single location, which helps them stay current with their information and provides a ready resource for their fiduciaries and/or family members when needed.
- In addition, this binder will provide a tangible work product that demonstrates the value of your services. Clients will see this value and will show their binder to friends and family. This will encourage referrals to your practice for additional estate planning and administration needs.
Impress your clients with exceptional service; educate them on their estate plan; provide a tangible work product that clients will use and share with others for years to come. This is what estate planning should accomplish, and the Estate Organizer is one more tool to help you succeed with these goals.
