Research Shouldn't Be a Taxing Problem

Tax research needn't be a problem. You can have the resources you need to complete your research right at your fingertips on a single page. On the tabbed Tax page, you'll have an overview of the services and databases available on Westlaw®.

To add the tabbed Tax page, click Add/Remove Tabs at the top of any Westlaw page. At the Manage Tabs page, select the check box next to Tax. (To preview a page before you select it, click the page name.) Click Next. Select your default page and click Save. There are tabbed pages available for other practice areas and for state and federal jurisdictions. You can have up to six tabbed pages. Change your tabbed pages as your research needs change.

The Shortcuts section lets you quickly find a document, check a tax document in KeyCite®, access a database, or access the table of contents. You can personalize this section to eliminate items you rarely use to simplify your display. Click Edit. The Edit: Shortcuts page is displayed. To remove an option, clear its text box. You may also see a choice you'd like to add; just select its check box. When you've made your selections, click Save.

The Resources Search section of the tabbed Tax page includes a variety of databases. Personalizing this section allows you to add databases you use frequently and remove databases you do not use. To personalize the Search section, click Edit. The Edit: Resources page will be displayed. To move the collection of databases you use most frequently to the top of the Resources section; click Change Order. Select a collection of databases and then click the up arrow to move the collection close to the top of the list. Then click Save.

Remember, to restore the original display, just click Restore Default Settings.
