A: You can use Westlaw to browse or search the newly released Hildebrandt 2008 Law Department Survey, Fifth Edition database (HILDEBRANDT2008). HILDEBRANDT2008 contains the 2008 version of the Hildebrandt Law Department Survey, a frequently cited source of legal spending, staffing, compensation, use of outside counsel, and other benchmarking data from corporate legal departments. Some of this data is broken down by staff level, class year, practice area, and other criteria. Documents are available as text and as PDF images.
