Dockets enhancements: It's all about work flow

Dockets databases on Westlaw are growing steadily. And not just in quantity—the quality of the user experience is improving, too.

For example, recent enhancements to Westlaw court dockets and Docket Track improve can your work flow by enabling you to do the following:

  • Update several dockets simultaneously. Select relevant documents in the result list and then click Update Selected Documents. The Docket Update Request page is displayed, which lists the documents you selected. Click Submit to update the documents and display the Docket Tools page, from which you can print, e-mail, or download the updated docket information.

  • Monitor U.S. district court dockets up to four times per day. Additional settings are displayed at the Docket Track: New Developments in a Specific Case page, allowing you to have Docket Track check existing U.S. district court dockets as often as four times per day. To access Docket Track, click Alert Center at the top of any Westlaw page and then click Create in the Docket Alert section, or click Track this Docket at the top of a docket you are viewing.
