West LegalEdcenter: Expanded scholarship opportunities for CLEs

To help more attorneys and law librarians earn continuing legal education (CLE) credits during the economic downturn, West LegalEdcenter—West's cost-effective source for online and in-person legal training and CLEs—has created additional scholarship opportunities for its live event, live webcast, on-demand, and podcast programming.

"We are committed to providing tuition assistance to attorneys facing financial hardship as part of our mission to help legal systems work better every day worldwide," says Lee Ann Enquist, vice president, West Professional Development. "That's why we are offering full and partial scholarships to unemployed attorneys, legal aid and government attorneys, judges and judicial clerks, law professors and students, law librarians, and employees of nonprofit and legal services organizations."

Professionals in private practice who seek to learn skills that will assist them in pro bono activities also are encouraged to apply for West LegalEdcenter scholarships.

West LegalEdcenter has reserved a limited number of full scholarships for each of the live programs it holds. Partial scholarships of up to 50 percent of the applicable course fee are also available for all programs. Applicants may be granted one full scholarship per calendar year and one partial scholarship per month. Interested persons are encouraged to apply early for scholarships for programs of their choice.

Please don't hesitate to share this information with acquaintances who might benefit. For more information, visit the scholarship application page on West LegalEdcenter.
