West Reference Attorney tips: Get them without signing off from Westlaw
Once upon a time, the West Reference Attorneys would post tips on various Westlaw features and research tasks (e.g., retrieving federal airworthiness directives) on a West intranet site. Now these tips are available to you—and you don't even have to surf for them.
As of April 2008, you can retrieve, view, or print West Reference Attorney tips in the course of your Westlaw session. Start by clicking Help at the top of any Westlaw page. Folders are displayed in the left frame for West products (e.g., Westlaw) you are using. The West Research Assistance and West Technical Support knowledgebase folders are displayed as well. (Note: At present, West Research Assistance and West Technical Support knowledgebase folders are available in Help only when you are signed on to Westlaw.)
To view the available research tips from the West Reference Attorneys, click West Research Assistance in the left frame. Click a folder name (e.g., Researching Topical Research A-E) in the left frame to view the topics in the folder. Then click a topic name (e.g., Environmental). A list of short articles within the topic is displayed in the right frame. To view an article, click its name.
