Before Installation
  • PLEASE NOTE: The Service Pack 4.11.1 requires an unusual installation procedure. Read the installation instructions in the download page carefully before starting the installation.
  • This update repairs the network and workstation installation files. It does not include any changes to the software or content.
  • A network installation of Version 4.11 must have been successfully completed on your server before installing this service pack.
Minimum System Requirements
Hardware and Operating System
  • For local installations, one of the following operating systems is required: Microsoft Windows 2000 (SP3 or later), Windows XP, or Windows Vista. For network installations, a Microsoft Windows-based server environment (Windows Server 2003 or later) is recommended.
  • Pentium III 500Mhz (or above) personal computer
  • 128 MB of available RAM (256 MB or more recommended)
  • 250 MB hard-disk space
  • Four-speed (or faster) CD-ROM drive
  • 800 x 600 or higher resolution monitor
  • A laser printer with Printer Control Language (PCL) Level 4 or 5 support.
Westlaw
In order to access Westlaw using the Westlaw links in the program, you must also have:
  • A connection to the Internet
  • An Internet browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or Netscape 4.06 or later in which JavaScript and cookies are enabled
  • A Westlaw account

California Jury Instruction Selector is designed to be compatible with the standard Windows operating systems listed in the system requirements and to function correctly under the installation configurations outlined in the Installation Guide (available at west.thomson.com/software/ca-selector). Customer Technical Support is available to all users working under those conditions. West does not claim compatibility with any other operating systems, multi-user environments, or installation configurations such as Mac OS, Linux, Novell, Citrix, Terminal Services, etc. We are unable to provide support for California Jury Instruction Selector in any operating environment or installation configuration not specifically included in the Installation Guide.
