WestCheck Version 5.2.0055 (10/28/2011)
This is the most recent version of WestCheck and is recommended for all users. The system requirements, including compatible word-processing software and browsers are listed below.
Minimum System Requirements
- Operating system: Windows 7, Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4 or later)
- Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
- Additional Software: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later
- Microsoft Word 2010, 2007, 2003, 2002 (West Solutions Framework is compatible only with the 32-bit version of Microsoft Word 2010), or one of the following WordPerfect versions:
- WordPerfect X5
- WordPerfect X4 Service Pack 1 (14.0.0.677)
- WordPerfect X3 (13.0.0.406)
- Processor: PC with 600 MHz processor or faster (Intel Pentium/Celeron family or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family)
- Internet connection
- Memory (RAM): At least 256MB of available RAM
- Hard disk space: 2GB
User Permissions for WestCheck
Note: The following user permissions are required for installing and running WestCheck. You must have administrator rights to install the software and to use the optional Updater application for installing software updates.

- Read and Execute, Read, and Write permissions for C:\Program Files\Thomson
- Read and Execute, Read, and Write permissions for [InstallationFolder]\Thomson (this may be same as above if not changed)
File Permissions (64-bit)
- Read and Execute, Read, and Write permissions for C:\Program Files\Thomson (Note: This directory will need to be created if it does not exist)
- Read and Execute, Read, and Write permissions for [InstallationFolder]\Thomson (by default this is C:\Program Files (x86))
Additional File Permissions (XP)
- Read and Execute, Read, and Write permissions for C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Thomson
Additional File Permissions (Vista)
- Read and Execute, Read, and Write permissions for C:\ProgramData\Thomson
Registry Permissions (Default)
- Full Control Permissions to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Thomson West and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Thomson West
Registry Permissions (64-bit OS)
